Based on their medium we general categorize digital marketing into two main parts: online digital marketing and offline digital marketing.
In online digital marketing, a digital medium is used and an internet connection is necessary. All the services or products are promoted online through the internet. Online digital marketing is future dividing based on the work and services provided such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay-per-Click (PPC), Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, Email Marketing, Mobile Marketing, Marketing Analytics, and Affiliate Marketing. They are also called the types of digital marketing and strategies of online digital marketing. This category does not match with internet marketing, internet marketing is a subset of digital marketing in which self-services promoted while in online digital marketing a big brand and large-scale companies promote their services or products.
In offline digital marketing, the electronic medium is used and there is no internet connection is necessary. All the services or products are promoted offline through some electronic mediums such as TV, SMS, Radio, etc. The best examples of offline digital marketing are Direct mail, Telemarketing, Print Ads, and Weather simulation rooms. Offline digital marketing is future dividing the based on work and services provided such as business cards, billboards, live demonstrations, banners, flyers, posters, radio advertising, TV advertising, car wraps, tattoos, etc. these are also called the types of digital marketing and strategies of offline digital marketing.
Difference between online and offline digital marketing:
Both online and offline digital marketing is good on basis of their services. We can not neglect the importance of any one of them. But the major difference after their medium is setup cost, operation cost, feasibility to operate, and availability.
In offline digital marketing, for any business growth, we need electronic devices which are high cost, we want a complete operating setup or want a team, we need specific space and they have time limitations because a single person can’t do. While in online digital marketing, for any business growth, we need only a good internet connection and easily do our work. It takes less space due to online, there is no operation cost is minimum, and there is no time restriction and place restriction. We can do our work everywhere at any time.
